Quest for Freedom

The only way to personal freedom
— a simple yet radical approach to happiness —
is to eliminate what is unreal; what's left is then the real.

The first step and probably the hardest one is to identify and recognize what's unreal.

For our mind likes to deceive us into believing the unreal to be real.
Our thoughts, our feelings, our ideas, or our assumptions, seem so real to us but in reality are just passing energy trapped in the moment of anxiety and chaos.

Then the next step and final one (perhaps just as difficult as the first step), is to cut tie with the unreal.

This demands two kinds of bravery.
The first calls for your strength and determination, to put on your armor and rage war against oneself, not to destroy, but to punch a hole through the window of a dark room.
The second invites your total vulnerability, to let go of the reality constructed by your past experience and stand nakedly and courageously before what remains.

Ultimately, this quest is not about freedom or happiness, it’s about meeting yourself for the very first time.
